1. Who we are

FOBICA INTERNATIONAL LLP ("FOBICA", "we", "us") is a food and beverage manufacturing advisory firm registered in India. For the personal data described in this policy, FOBICA decides why and how the data is processed, which makes us the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to personal data we collect through this website, through the enquiry, consultation and project forms, and when you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email about a project.

It does not cover the data we handle while delivering a paid engagement. That is set out in the engagement letter or contract you sign with us.

3. The personal data we collect

We only ask for what we need to understand your enquiry and reply to it.

Please do not send us sensitive personal data, such as health or financial account details, through the website. We do not need it to answer an enquiry.

4. Why we use it

We use your personal data for these purposes, and only these purposes:

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss your project by phone, email or WhatsApp. We rely on the consent you give in the form.
• To arrange and hold a consultation you have asked for, at the time and in the way you chose.
• To prepare a proposal for an engagement, if you ask for one.
• To keep the website secure, detect spam and abuse, and fix technical problems.
• To meet legal obligations, for example keeping records required by law or responding to a lawful request from an authority.

We do not use your personal data for automated decisions about you, and we do not sell it.

5. Your consent

When you submit a form, you confirm that you agree to be contacted about your enquiry. The consent box is not ticked for you.

You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to businessinfo@fobicainternational.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. If you withdraw consent for us to contact you about an open enquiry, we will stop working on it.

6. Who we share it with

Your personal data is seen only by FOBICA staff who need it to respond to you, and by the service providers who run our systems on our behalf:

• Website and security services, including a check that enquiry forms are sent by a person rather than an automated program. This check looks at technical signals from your browser and device; it does not use your enquiry details.
• Email services, which send each new enquiry to our team and handle our business email.
• WhatsApp, when you choose to message us there. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to that service.

These providers act on our instructions and may only use your data to provide their service to us. We may also share personal data with our professional advisers under a duty of confidentiality, or where the law requires it.

With your permission, and only for the purpose you agree to, we may introduce you to a machinery supplier, laboratory or other partner relevant to your project. We will always ask first.

7. Transfers outside India

Some of our service providers store or process data on servers outside India. Where this happens, we transfer personal data only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any restrictions notified by the Government of India.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and consultation details for as long as we need them to respond, follow up and keep a record of our conversation with you. After that we delete them or make them anonymous, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.

If you become a client, records of the engagement are kept for the period set out in your contract and required by law.

9. How we protect it

We use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website, limited staff access to enquiries, and service providers with their own security controls.

No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the DPDP Act requires.

10. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

• ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data;
• ask us to erase your personal data, unless we must keep it by law;
• withdraw your consent at any time;
• have your grievance addressed by us; and
• nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to do so.

To use any of these rights, write to businessinfo@fobicainternational.com from the email address you used with us, or tell us how we can confirm it is you. We will respond within the time set by law.

11. Grievances

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal data, write to our grievance contact at businessinfo@fobicainternational.com with the subject "Privacy grievance". We will acknowledge your message and respond within the time required by law.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

12. Children

This website is meant for business owners and professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Cookies and links to other sites

This website uses only essential browser storage and no advertising or tracking cookies. Our Cookie Policy lists exactly what is stored.

Links to WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other websites take you to services we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply.

14. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices or the law change, and show the new date at the top. If a change affects how we use personal data you have already given us, we will tell you before it applies.
